Xiaomi has officially rolled out another software update for Redmi 8 smartphone users Globally. The latest update comes with the build number V12.0.1.0.QCNMIXM and weighs 4.0GB in size. Below you can check the full changelog and also download the update by tapping the link.

- New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open the Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open the Control center.
- New: When the Notification shade is open, swipe down from the upper right corner to open the Control center.

Dark mode
- Optimization: Brightness and color improvements for wallpapers in Dark mode.
System
- Fix: Home screen went black and started flashing after unlocking in some cases.

- New: The screen lights up with animation now.

Xiaomi has started rolling out the latest update for the Redmi 8 for Global users. This is still an Android 10-based UI update and not Android 11. The smartphones were launched last year.
Talking about this update for Redmi 8, it comes with firmware version MIUI V12.0.1.0.QCNMIXM, and weighs 2.1GB in size. The update gets the usual MIUI 12 design and animation changes along with increased system security. Xiaomi has already rolled out the MIUI 12 for the Redmi 8 Globally.
