Xiaomi released MIUI 12.5 Closed Beta 21.1.20, check the complete changelog

The Chinese giant is currently busy distributing MIUI 12 based software update but still, the company doesn’t forget to release MIUI 12.5 closed beta. Now, this time Xiaomi roll out MIUI 12.5 Closed Beta 21.1.20 update to its smartphone.

In this version, Xiaomi brings many new features like Intelligent assistant (negative one screen) of App vault, Sound and vibration” layout changes and many more. Below you can check the complete changelog of this version.

Changelog 21.1.20:

System

  • Optimize – Restored Widevine L1 support [Redmi K20/Mi 9T, Mi CC9 Pro/Mi Note 10/Pro].
  • Fix – Device was lagging with enabled Voice Match [Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9T Pro].
  • Fix – Provision app crashed during setup with an inserted SIM card.

Control Center

  • Optimize – Brightness control is appearing at the bottom of the toggles list now even if it is expanded [Android 11 devices].
  • Optimize – Restored pull-down gesture on the right side of Notification shade to open Control center over the Notification shade.
  • Fix – A Chinese toggle was showing at the bottom of the toggles list [Some devices].

Settings

  • Optimize – “Sound and vibration” layout changes [Android 11 Devices].
  • Optimize – Removed “Hide H It and move status bar” option by Xiaomi [Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Litt Zoom].

Screen recorder

  • New – You can record videos in 90fps now [Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Mi 11, Mi 10T/Pro].

Weather

  • Fix – Unable to delete locations by long-tapping them and clicking the “Delete” button.

App Vault

  • Intelligent assistant (negative one screen).
  • New E-sports event.
  • New football league game status.
  • Added sliding switch function for step counting and sleep.

WARNING FOR Mi 9 SE: After Android 11 update reboot to recovery causes reboot to Fastboot mode – TWRP disappears after the update. To do the update, boot your TWRP from fast boot mode, flash ROM and reboot to system.

This update is suspended for Redmi Note 9 4G/Redmi 9T. It’s expected to get the MIUI 12.5 update in mid-or-late January 2021, with the Android 11 update accordingly.
