Android 12 lock screen and notification interface revealed

According to XDA reports, Google has released the first Android 12 developer preview for some Pixel models. One of the most anticipated changes in Android 12 is the new user interface. The display, lock screen and notifications have all enabled the new UI style, further confirming that Google will completely change the user interface of the Android system this year.

In the lock screen, the digital clock of Android 12 is placed slightly above the middle. The font size of the minutes is slightly larger than the hours, and the font is also very large. XDA commentator Rahman (Mishaal Rahman) thinks that this change is very bad and not aesthetic, and users who are getting started for the first time may not be able to distinguish between minutes and hours. However, considering that this is only a developer preview version of the first version of Android 12, the later release of the official version may modify the design of the time part.

The feature of the lock screen has not changed greatly, and it is still impossible to control the device feature on the lock screen. Although Google has previously announced that it will provide more features on the lock screen, compared to Android 11, the changes in the lock screen in the first Android 12 developer preview are limited to the UI, and its feature has not changed.

The AOD interface of Android 12, the so-called off-screen display feature, has not changed much. The AOD feature is mainly when the phone is locked, part of the screen remains bright and displays information such as time and notifications. For those users who are accustomed to using their mobile phones to check the time, the AOD feature can make the mobile phone screen less frequent and more convenient. Compared to Android 11, the AOD interface of Android 12 only adjusts the position of the time and date.

Android 12 also brings some changes to the notification panel. The new Android 12 uses an opaque background to match the user’s normal/dark mode, replacing the transparent background in Android 11. At the same time, if the Android 12 theme system is online, the background color may match the user’s wallpaper.

In addition, the brightness adjustment bar has also undergone major changes, it has become thicker, which makes it easier for users to control the intensity of brightness.
