OxygenOS is an Android-based OS developed by Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus exclusively for their smartphones. OxygenOS was developed for their overseas market. There is also another version of the OS designed specifically for the Chinese market called HydrogenOS.
In an interview published on 3 September 2016, XDA Developers revealed OnePlus was “actively merging both platforms (OxygenOS and HydrogenOS) into a single cohesive operating system based on android”.

OnePlus 8T company’s first smartphone which comes with OxygenOS 11 out of the box. However, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have also received a stable update of OxygenOS 11 based on the Android 11 update. At this time, OnePlus Nord, the OnePlus 7 series, and the OnePlus 7T series running on OxygenOS 11 open beta, and the company will soon be providing a stable update.
