Samsung Galaxy Watch and Watch Active getting a new firmware update which brings many Galaxy Watch 3 features

The Watch Active is the most capable (and the priciest) of the lot, and the one I’ll be focussing on now. Strangely enough, as I write this, the Watch Active’s successor has just been announced in the form of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. However, there’s no timeline on when Active 2 is likely to launch in India. So let’s just talk about the Watch Active, shall we? And If I might add, it does come across as a wearable worth wearing. Read on to figure why I say that.

Samsung continuously updating its device with the most recent updates, not only the Android smartphone and tablets. It also updating its smartwatches. Samsung launched Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch Active with Tizen OS 4.0, but they are now running on the Tizen OS 5.5 update.

Let’s talk about this article, the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch Active receiving a new software update which carries firmware version R810XXU1FUB6 and R500XXUF1UB5 respectively. Also, this update comes on the 291MB download size. According to the latest information, this update currently rolled out in South Korea and the US and it will soon be available in more markets.

As per the update information, it brings various Galaxy Watch 3 features like the ability to see images in notifications from the paired smartphone, support for AR Emoji and Bitmoji, voice guidance for workouts (running and cycling), scrolling screenshots, and voice guidance via connected Bluetooth earphones. The smartwatches also get stability and performance improvements with the new updates.
