Microsoft Edge browser will launch a new Share Link page

According to the Windows Latest report, if you have the habit of sharing links with others, or jumping from a PC device to another PC device, there is now a better way. Windows 10’s Edge browser will get a new feature that will improve the experience of sharing website links.

This new feature basically allows users to find the link that was copied or shared last time. For example, if you send and receive a large number of links every day, and when you need to use these links again, you may not remember what the links are, the sharing link experience of the Edge browser will allow you to find them quickly.

Currently, as Microsoft pointed out, finding old links is a difficult and time-consuming task, especially when you are not using the Windows Cloud Clipboard. “Users spend time and energy trying to find links that have been shared with them, sometimes by themselves, searching in various applications, checking their email and chat messages, and sometimes by asking others to find or resend the link to them.”

The goal of the new features of Microsoft Edge is to help users save time and effort, and links to share with / users appear in the history. As shown in the figure, Microsoft hopes to add a “shared link” item to the navigation bar of Edge to help you find all the links shared with/you.

Since this feature will become part of the history, you can also use the existing search box to quickly find links. Microsoft is still testing this idea, but users will be able to use the new beta extension for testing. According to feedback, Microsoft said they will implement it natively on the Chromium Edge history page.

However, in the foreign media test, its shared link page is currently a placeholder, and it does not work properly. In addition to the new link sharing experience, Microsoft is also developing an improved Windows Cloud Clipboard, which will also work with websites opened in the Edge browser.

Other improvements in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft has introduced some new improvements for the Chromium version of Edge. For example, support for resizable vertical labels, mini-context menus in PDF, support for additional in-page translation languages, etc. has been added.
