Samsung Galaxy A50 users now getting Android 11 and March 2021 patch update

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy A50. The update also brings along the March 2021 security patch to the smartphone. The new software update for the Galaxy A50, which bears firmware version A505FDDU7CUBC, has a download size of 1,871.38MB.

The Android 11 update brings a dedicated conversations section in the notification area, a media player widget in the quick settings panel, chat bubbles, one-time permissions, permissions auto reset, and easier smart device controls to the phone.

Other features include improved Dynamic Lock screen, more lock screen widgets and AoD options, video backgrounds for calls, more options in Bixby Routines, improved Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls, double-tap gesture to turn off the screen, improved camera autofocus performance, and improved stock apps.
