This month’s Windows 10 cumulative update has been released

In this month’s Patch Tuesday event, Microsoft released cumulative updates for all supported Windows 10 systems, including the Windows 10 21H1 version being tested on the Beta channel. The most notable thing about this cumulative update is the removal of the classic version of the Edge browser from the system, which will no longer be supported starting today. If the user has not installed a new version of Edge based on Chromium, the update will automatically be installed instead.

If you are a Windows Insider user of the Beta channel, you will be upgraded to Windows 10 Build 19043.867 after installing the cumulative update KB5000802 released today. The repair content is the same as the cumulative update for 20H1 and 20H2.

This cumulative update fixes a privilege escalation security vulnerability recorded in CVE-2021-1640, which is related to print jobs submitted to the “FILE:” port. After installing the Windows update on March 9, 2021, and later, print jobs that are pending before restarting the print processor service or restarting the operating system will always be in an error state. Manually delete the affected print job and resubmit it to the print queue when the print processor service is online.

This cumulative update also provides security updates for Windows Shell, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Management, Windows Apps, Windows User Account Control (UAC), Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge Legacy and Windows Media.
