In 2013, Disney launched a customized bracelet called MagicBands. The bracelet is based on RFID and combined with a platform for Disney’s visitor experience to enhance the interaction between tourists and the amusement park. Nearly ten years later, Disney announced that all the features of MagicBands can be realized through the MagicMobile app so that you can play in the park through iPhone or Apple Watch.
MagicMobile Pass can be added to your Apple Watch. Users can use their iPhone or Apple Watch to enter the park instead of MagicBands. Disney has not said when MagicMobile will be officially used but confirmed that Apple devices will receive the service and features first.

Disney stated in its blog post that MagicBands will still provide services, and users can freely choose what they think is convenient for use. Disney said it will launch new MagicBand colors and designs based on Disney characters. The company also pointed out that MagicMobile will not replace the “My Disney Experience” application, which can be used as a digital room key for guests staying in a Disney resort hotel.
