Edge Dev 91 released: Optimized immersive reader to generate passwords on demand

The Edge Dev channel version has entered a new level. The newly released Edge 91.0.825.0 version is the first version based on Chromium 91, and Microsoft will push it to the Beta channel in the next few days.

As expected, this new version brings some new features, the most noteworthy of which is to read Wikipedia pages with an immersive reader (Immersive Reader) and even supports content directories.

Microsoft explained: “Immersive Reader has added a table of contents (Table of Contents) feature, so when you are using the immersive reader, you can easily navigate and browse the Wikipedia pages. Click on the icon of the “Table of Contents” Open the navigation pane, you can see a list of chapters based on Wikipedia webpages. You can click any tab in the pane to navigate to that part of the webpage. As long as you need, you can keep the pane open when you want to go back and read the document, you can close it by clicking the content button or the cross (x) button.”

This update also improves Read Aloud and can skip some irrelevant content options on the page. Microsoft said it has completed the launch of the on-demand password generation option in the right-click menu. In addition, there are some new strategies, as well as a large number of fixes, some of which are specifically for crashes that occur at startup or when using the browser.

Generally speaking, this is an important version of Microsoft Edge, but it is still in the Dev channel, so there will be more various minor problems. If you want to get a comprehensive experience, the stable channel is your right choice.
