The latest version of Google Chrome 89 browser adds very useful feature-real-time subtitles. This feature uses machine learning technology to automatically add subtitles to audio and video, making it easier for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to access the Internet.
After enabling, when users are watching or listening to video or audio content, real-time subtitles will automatically appear in a small movable box at the bottom of the browser. Subtitles will be delayed, and if the person speaking in the video speaks too fast or stutters, there may be some errors in the subtitles.
But in general, this feature is as stunning as it first appeared on Pixel phones in 2019. Subtitles also appear when the audio is muted or the volume is reduced so that you can “read” the video or podcast without disturbing others around you.

We found that Chrome’s real-time subtitles feature can be used on YouTube videos, Twitch streams, podcast players, and even music streaming services like SoundCloud. However, the real-time subtitles in the Chrome browser seem to only work in English.
