OnePlus smartwatch system is based on RTOS, not WearOS

OnePlus 9 series phones will be released on March 24, and OnePlus’ first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch, will be released at the same time. According to the Android Police news, Liu Zuohu confirmed on the OnePlus English forum that this watch will be equipped with a custom system based on RTOS, rather than the previously rumored Google Watch OS system.

Liu Zuohu said that the reason for choosing this system is that the customized version of RTOS can provide smoother performance and higher battery life. RTOS is the abbreviation of the real-time operating system, which guarantees the priority execution of triggered tasks. Previously, it was mostly used in industrial control, automation, aerospace and military industries.
