PUBG Mobile revenue grosses $5.1 billion

According to Sensor Tower statistics, the cumulative revenue of the mobile game PUBG has exceeded $5.1 billion. Sensor Tower pointed out that more than half of the revenue of the mobile game and the Chinese version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was generated last year. In 2020 alone, revenue exceeded US$2.7 billion, and player consumption averaged US$7.4 million per day.

In the first nine months of 2020, the average quarterly revenue of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds mobile games was US$704 million, and the fourth quarter performed poorly at only US$555 million.

Sensor Tower reported that in the first quarter of 2021, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds mobile game player consumption has reached 709 million US dollars, making it the best quarter so far. In January 2021 alone, this game generated $259 million in revenue, becoming the third month with the highest revenue in the history of this game.

American players contributed 12.7% of consumer spending, or about $647 million, making it the second-largest market for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. It has been previously reported that the mobile game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been downloaded more than 1 billion times overseas.
