Samsung Galaxy S9 getting April 2021 security update

In 2018, Samsung introduced its Galaxy S9 smartphone with great capabilities and performance. Now, according to the information, the Galaxy S9 smartphone users getting April 2021 security update.

The April 2021 security patch is now available for the Galaxy S9 in Europe through a new OTA update that carries firmware version G96xFXXUFFUC6.

More specifically, Samsung has so far released the April 2021 security patch for the Galaxy S9+ variant in Germany. As for the latest release, Galaxy S9+ owners in Germany should be able to download the April 2021 security update from the Software update section within the Settings app.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display which features a screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,960 pixels. In order to run the smartphone, there are two quad-core processors (2.3 GHz M2 Mongoose and 1.7GHz Cortex A53) and those are seated upon Samsung Exynos 9 Octa 9810 chipset. The processors are aided by 4GB of RAM and Mali-G72 MP18 graphics unit. The phablet runs on Android v8.0 (Oreo) operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is armed with a primary camera at the back having 12MP resolution. It supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second and helps to capture high resolution images. An 8MP front camera is present to capture wide angle selfies. The smartphone derives its energy from a 3,000mAh Li-ion battery inclusive of fast charging support. Moreover, the battery provides a talk time of 22 hours (3G) and supports wireless charging.
