The new version of Edge Canary can limit the automatic playback of video/audio by default globally

Currently, the Chromium-based Edge browser allows automatic video/audio playback by default, and some website users need to manually restrict it. However, in future version updates of Edge, users are allowed to restrict video/audio autoplay by default.

The experimental Flag has been released in the latest Edge Canary channel version and will be integrated into the stable version in the future. To enable this feature, you need to make sure you are using Edge build 91.0.841.0 or higher, then visit the edge://flags page, search for “limit”, and then set the “Autoplay Limit Default Setting” Flag to “Enabled”, then Restart the browser.
