After the patch was released in April, Samsung downgraded the Galaxy S9 to a quarterly update

According to the 9to5Google, after the April patch release, Samsung has just moved the Galaxy S9 from the monthly update plan to the quarterly plan. This also means that from now on, Galaxy S9 will only get 4 security patches per year. Related changes apply to Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + models, and are still stuck on Android 10, which was launched in October last year.

9to5Google pointed out that S9’s predecessor model Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 released in the same year are still being updated quarterly. Samsung should reduce these phones to two-year updates before next year.
