Realme 8i 5G code-named RMX2205 spotted on TENAA

The Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) has just disclosed the specifications and ID photos of a 5G mobile device code named RMX2205, and Mukul Sharma believes that the machine is likely to be launched in India under the name of Realme 8i.

We have seen the appearance design of the standard version/Pro version in the Realme 8 series family before, but the ID photo of the RMX2205 shows that there are still big differences between them. In terms of photography, the device uses a perforated screen front camera + rear rectangular three-camera solution.

The familiar slogan “DARE TO LEAP” is printed on the back of the fuselage. The volume condition button can be seen on the left side, and the power button is on the right side. Since the physical fingerprint sensor is not visible on the front and back sides (it is not like integrating it on the power button), we speculate that the RMX2205 uses a combination of AM OLED screen + fingerprint solution under the screen.

In terms of details, TENAA pointed out that this new 5G machine has a size of 158.5×73.3×8.4 mm, a screen of 6.43 inches, a battery capacity of 4400 mAh, supports dual SIM cards and is pre-installed with the Android 11 mobile operating system. As for whether the RMX 2205 is the legendary Realme 8i 5G new machine, and whether the company is considering launching an entry-level model that only supports 4G mobile networks in the Indian market, it remains to be tested.
