Android opens the Fast Pair feature to make pairing easier for Bluetooth devices

Bluetooth is a widely used wireless technology, widely used in wireless audio accessories, smartwatches and smart home appliances. However, the pairing experience of Bluetooth devices is not excellent, and cross-platform consistency cannot be achieved. However, the newly introduced Fast Pair feature in the Android system is expected to bring a smoother pairing experience to more than 100 Bluetooth devices of different brands.

Fast Pair in the Android system has been online a few years ago, but the number of applicable devices is very limited. Initially, this feature was limited to its own Pixel phones, and later it was limited to its own Pixel Buds. This year Google announced that it will open this feature to more devices, making it easier and easier to pair accessories with Android phones.

The whole pairing process is very simple, just put the paired Bluetooth device near the Android phone. After Fast Pair is started, a window will pop up, showing the name of the device and the Google account associated with it. Only a simple connection button is needed to realize the actual pairing of the mobile phone and the Bluetooth device.
