Apple ranks behind Microsoft, Google, Intel, and Samsung in the global reputation list

In a new list of the world’s top 100 companies, Apple ranked 46th, behind almost all other large technology companies. This is the result of a survey that uses indicators to determine the company’s reputation. In 2021, RepTrak found that it is more difficult for companies to break into the top 100 in its rankings. The average score of the listed companies is 75 points, the highest in many years. Apple won 46th place with 74.9 points, which RepTrak described as “strong”.

Ranked 45th is Under Armour, and Mastercard ranked 47th. According to RepTrak’s indicators, the Lego Group won first place as the most reputable company. Rolex, Ferrari, Bosch Group and Harley-Davidson entered the top five in turn.

Facebook did not enter the top 100 in 2021. “In a difficult year, relevance is important. Consumer durables and apparel, technology (including hardware and software), and home and personal product companies are leading the way a year later when the world was in terms of productivity, entertainment, comfort, and safety It all depends on them,” RepTrak said of the rankings.

Other interesting findings indicate that Gen Z and millennials have different views of the company, with the former being the most suspicious of the company’s vision. Millennials are the most active of all groups, while Gen X and baby boomers are in the middle. RepTrak ranks the companies on the list by measuring reputation from 0 to 100 through several indicators, including products and services, innovation, civic awareness, performance, governance, leadership and workplace. It analyzes reputation data collected from December 2020 to January 2021.

According to RepTrak data, a company must be a corporate brand with global revenue of more than 2 billion U.S. dollars, reach the global average familiarity threshold of more than 20%, and reach a qualified reputation score higher than the median to be considered for the list.
