Apple today released the first beta version of the new iOS and iPadOS 14.6 update to developers for testing purposes. The release time of the new software coincides with Apple’s plan to release iOS 14.5 next week.
iOS and iPadOS 14.6 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center or downloaded through OTA after installing the appropriate configuration file on the iPhone or iPad. It is not clear what is updated in iOS and iPadOS 14.6. Given the rich features of iOS14.5 and iPadOS 14.5, 14.6 may mainly focus on bug fixes and performance optimization.

Since there are currently two beta versions-iOS 14.5 and iOS 14.6, Apple has integrated a new download prompt in the settings, providing developers with the option of installing either system version. Apple also released the first test versions of watchOS 7.5 and tvOS 14.6 to developers.
