It should be noted that if your country is on this list, the U1 chip in your HomePod mini will not work, as will the chip in the iPhone. Basically, any Apple products with UWB chips cannot be used in the above-mentioned countries, and that’s how it is.

Ultra-Wideband can be used for iPhone 11 models and iPhone 12 models. Ultra-Wideband is not available in all countries or regions, and to comply with international regulatory requirements, it needs to be closed in some places.
This is not all bad news, because you can still see the approximate location of AirTag in the Find My app via Bluetooth. The tracker can still use nearby iPhones and iPads or Mac to track its location, but it will not be able to obtain the precise location reported by the UWB device.
