Last week, Samsung had released new software updates to the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch 3. Now, according to the information, the Korean giant has released a similar update to the Galaxy Watch Active and the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The new update improves the stability of the messaging app and the Wi-Fi connection on the smartwatches.
These new updates are rolling out in Austria, Brazil, Germany, and South Korea. The firmware version for Galaxy Watch Active’s update has firmware version R820XXU1DUD1, while the update for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 bears firmware version R500XXU1FUD1. The download size for the new updates is just over 35MB.
If you are a Galaxy Watch Active or Galaxy Watch Active 2 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone, navigating to Watch software update, and tapping on Download and install.

The smartwatch weighs 30 g (1.06 oz) and it is built with Front glass and an aluminum frame. The smartwatch comes in various colors like Cloud Silver, Aqua Black, and Pink Gold. The body of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Aluminum is 1.4 inches screen and the screen type of the smartphone watch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ and it is incorporated with an Always-on display. The device runs on a Tizen-based wearable operating system. The smartwatch has a RAM of 768 GB and a storage capacity of 4 GB (or 1.5 GB RAM (LTE model)) which is great for a wearable device.
The watch has sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, and barometer. The device also features GPS, with GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS. The battery life of the watch is pretty good, it has 340 mAh with a pin connector. The Galaxy Watch Active has a custom version of Android inbuilt.
