Samsung Galaxy Book Go will soon release a Windows 10 model equipped with an ARM processor

News of Samsung laptops has been coming in recently. After announcing four models yesterday and another laptop today, it looks like Samsung will release an economical Windows laptop with an ARM processor. Samsung Galaxy Book Go has a built-in 8 nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c chip, the pre-installed ARM version of Windows 10. This device weighs 1.39 kg, has a fanless design, a 14-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080, supports LTE communication, and is equipped with 4GB of memory and a 128GB SSD.

The screen does not support the touch feature, and there is nothing special about the shell to reduce costs. However, Samsung has worked hard in the dark. The Galaxy Book Go meets the Mil-810G durability standard, which means that the laptop can withstand a 1.2-meter drop and is dust-proof.

In terms of interfaces, it provides two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a headphone jack, a MicroSD slot and a SIM card slot. ARM-based processors are usually very efficient and should provide sufficient battery life when used in conjunction with a 42.3Wh battery.

The ARM version of Windows 10 does not have many choices for native applications, and its performance in emulating x64 applications is not ideal. The Galaxy Book Go can be regarded as a work in progress to a large extent, far from producing enough productivity as the ARM-based M1 Mac.

Of course, Samsung Galaxy Book Go has not yet officially launched, Samsung has not announced the availability of information. But what is certain is that this notebook computer will be listed in Germany, priced at 449 euros, in the United States for a cheaper price of 349 dollars, but without LTE communication capabilities.
