Apple M2 processor begins mass production and first released in Mac Pro

Apple’s current goal is very clear, is to vigorously develop self-developed chips, especially the desktop product series, so M1 is just the beginning. It was previously reported that the next-generation Mac processor independently designed by Apple will begin mass production this month, and this chipset can be shipped as early as July, and it is expected to be installed for the first time in the new MacBook devices released in the second half of this year.

Now, the latest disclosure by Weibo Daren shows that Apple’s first dual-core packaged CPU (let’s call it M2 dual, using 2 M2 SIPs, one of which is rotated 180 degrees) will be released in March this year. Mass production will begin in the quarter.

It is reported that the performance of this M2 will be more powerful, and the strongest version will be the first launch of Apple’s own desktop Mac Pro. For Apple, it is obvious that there is no need to consider the advantages of the knife method.

The performance release and power consumption design of the M2 chip should continue Apple’s style of upgrading without money, and further, suppress Intel and AMD products at the same level and reduce power consumption. Reduce to a new level. Apple previously stated that the company’s transition from Intel processors to self-developed chips will be completed around the 2022 WWDC Global Developers Conference.
