After the update, you can select the name of the person, and then click the “…” option to open the operation menu. In the menu, you must select “Do not allow unmute” to mute the user permanently. Currently, if the host wants to prevent a user from unmuting, he needs to mute all participants.
The new audio management feature is particularly useful for teachers because it will allow the host to mute specific users until the end of the meeting. This will also ensure that the presenter will not be interrupted by the audio interference of the attendees. In our tests, we found that this feature has been enabled in the production channels of Microsoft Teams.
