Google AI Lab DeepMind expands to Canada and establishes small research team

According to reports, Google’s artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory DeepMind has expanded its search for the world’s best AI researchers to Toronto, Canada. Recently, DeepMind posted a job advertisement on its website looking for a research scientist in Toronto. Today, DeepMind confirmed to the media that it plans to establish a small team in Toronto. DeepMind also said that there are already employees working in the Toronto office.

LinkedIn data shows that in addition to Toronto, DeepMind already has offices in Montreal and Edmonton. In Canada, DeepMind has a total of 51 employees. In terms of AI research, Canada is widely regarded as one of the top countries in the world, keeping pace with China, the United States and the United Kingdom. This year, DeepMind has been busy recruiting teams in New York.
