Galaxy A12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max are among the top two in the Global smartphone market for the Q1/2021

The research organization Canalys Consulting released an analysis report on the global smartphone market for the first quarter of 2021. In total, global smartphone shipments reached 347 million units in the first quarter, an increase of 27% year-on-year. Samsung beat the group with 76.5 million units shipped, occupying 22% of the market share.

In terms of best-selling models, the top 10 in the world are Samsung Galaxy A12, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, Samsung A02, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9 and Samsung A21s. The world’s best-selling 5G mobile phones are ranked iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12, Samsung S21, Samsung S21 Ultra, OPPO A93, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, iPhone 12 mini, OPPO A55 5G and Huawei nova 8.

The top 10 in the Asia-Pacific region are iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, OPPO A93 5G, Redmi 9A, OPPO A15, iPhone 11, Samsung A12, Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Redmi 9. In the Chinese mainland market, Vivo ranked first with 23% shipment share, followed by OPPO with 22%, and Huawei, Xiaomi and Apple ranked 3 to 5 respectively.
