OxygenOS is an Android-based OS developed by Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus exclusively for their smartphones. OxygenOS was developed for their overseas market. There is also another version of the OS designed specifically for the Chinese market called HydrogenOS.

Check All The Versions:

  • On 14 June 2016, OnePlus released OxygenOS 3.0. It is a version of Android with few modifications and internal tunings, like Gestures, Shelf and a dark mode by OnePlus.
  • On 31 December 2016, OnePlus released OxygenOS 4.0.0 based on Android Nougat and includes its features and several other modifications to the public via OTA download.
  • On 31 January 2018, OnePlus released OxygenOS 5.0.3 based on Android Oreo to the public via OTA download. In May 2018, OnePlus launched OnePlus 6 with OxygenOS based on Android Oreo 8.1.
  • On 29 October 2018, OnePlus launched OnePlus 6T with OxygenOS 9.0 based on Android Pie.
  • On 25 December 2018, OnePlus released OxygenOS 9.0.0 based on Android Pie for OnePlus 5/5T to the public via OTA download.
  • On 10th October 2020, OnePlus released OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 for OnePlus 8/8T. This introduced Always On Display (AOD), one-handed use optimizations, among other features.

Now, Let’s Talk About OxygenOS 12:

The leading phone manufacturer company OnePlus has been recently launched its OnePlus 9 series in China and later Globally, that are performing well in the market and this device comes pre-installed with Android 11. As per the previous news, the OnePlus will give at least 3 major OS update to every flagship smartphone.

Recently, the company has sent OxygenOS 11 based stable update to its selected devices. The latest OxygenOS 11 comes with a lot of new features. Meanwhile, users are eagerly waiting for the OxygenOS next version of OxygenOS 12. In this article, we’ll check the compatible devices that are eligible for this major update as well as check the features.

OxygenOS 12 Features:

  • So the first idea coming is the FPS counter option in the game space, this is an amazing idea this will not only give us a view if the game is running smooth or not but also show how the CPU is performing if 90Hz or 120Hz option is working perfectly or not.
  • Secong feature coming is separate volume for each application and also allow dual media playback which is again something I wanted to you can set different volumes for different platform like low volume for TikTok and high volume for music.
  • The third feature is lock screen customizations right now in OxygenOS 11 we have little control over lock screen we cannot add much widgets and that’s going to change really soon.
  • Fouth one is really useful, its fast wireless while transfer from PC to OnePlus and OnePlus device to PC, yeah I thing they should developed an advanced applications for Mac and PC users so fast while transfer connected to same Wi-Fi and that is going to be awesome. Our future is wireless we cannot take cable everywhere to connect a phone every time to transfer data.
  • It’s like saving out phone energy for some important tasks like emergency calls or receiving text messages, it’s not a normal battery saver it’s what you can call an ultra power saving mode something with Samsung made official back with Galaxy S.
  • Dark mode instead of gray so Oxygen with the dark mode but it was gray and not black users one black so that is coming soon.
  • The final feature is partial screenshot Something I also want it’s like selecting an area to capture or record may I use this a lot on my Mac and it works super fine So something like this on a phone is going to be awesome and we may see this in OxygenOS 12.

Note: So these are some main features coming soon to the next OxygenOS of course well see some more changes in the UI and back fixes and some features from Google’s Android 12.
