Windows 10 Version 1909 Home/Professional Edition gets the last cumulative update

For the Windows 10 Version 1909 feature update, Microsoft released the cumulative update KB5003169 on the Patch Tuesday event day of this month. It is worth noting that this is the last service update for home and professional edition users, and the commercial and educational editions will continue to receive updates.

Windows 10 KB5003169 direct download link: 64-bit and 32-bit (x86). This update focuses on solving many security issues reported in the past few weeks/months. After installation, the version number has been increased to Build 18363.1556. For users who skipped the April optional update, this cumulative update also contains some non-security fixes.

Microsoft has introduced many security and non-security fixes in this update, including fixing the problem that the scroll bar control becomes “blank” and cannot be used on the screen.

These problems occur when running 32-bit applications on the 64-bit version of Windows 10 and when the window class of the application’s scroll bar is set to “USER32.DLL SCROLLBAR”. Problems have also been observed in other applications that use HScrollBar and VScrollBar controls to implement scroll bar functions.

This update also fixes the problem of increased memory usage when developers create a scroll bar control in their application. Microsoft has also improved Windows OLE, the so-called compound document, which is a security feature.

In addition, there are security fixes for the universal Bluetooth driver. In addition to these quality improvements, it seems that Windows 10 Build 18363.1556 also supports “news and interests” for more users.
