As we know, Huawei and Honor now distributing April 2021 patch update to its older and new devices based on EMUI and Magic UI. Now the company released a new software update based on Magic UI 4 to its Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro devices in China and this update also includes March 2021 patch update. Below you can check the build numbers as well as the full changelog.

Changes:

  • Added a quick download icon for the Link Now, Honor Club, and Honor Mall applications
  • Optimizes the sound experience
  • Optimizes system stability
  • Integrates security patches released in March 2021 for improved system security
  • Fixes issues of WeChat clone
  • Optimize compatibility with some third-party applications

4.0.0.178 —4.0.0.179 update point (Honor V30)
4.0.0.177 —4.0.0.179 update point (Honor V30 PRO)

Changes:

  • Optimizes system stability
  • Fix the problem that the recorder icon is repeatedly displayed

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • This update will not erase your data but backing up your important data before updating might be useful if in case anything happens.

How to update?

The latest update rolling out via the Support App. Also, you can follow the below steps,

  • Via Support: Open app -> Services Tab -> Update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.
  • Via Settings: Open System Settings -> System -> Software update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.
