Microsoft is porting Windows 10X features to Sun Valley

Recently, there was news that Microsoft is canceling the Windows 10X project, focusing on Windows 10, especially the upcoming Sun Valley update, which is expected to bring significant UI to the Windows 10 operating system Update.

There is now some evidence that Microsoft is porting the user interface improvements of Windows 10X to the Windows 10 Sun Valley update later this year, which is consistent with previous rumors. An experimental logo appeared in the WindowsShellExperienceHost.exe in the latest preview version of Windows 10. After enabling it, you can activate features previously only found in Windows 10X.

These features include improvements to the action center, there is a new grabber (above the sliding icon), and can now be displayed by sliding from the bottom of the screen, these two features were previously only unique in Windows 10X. Other improvements include more rounded corners and floating jump lists and menus.

Microsoft’s choice to improve Windows 10 on the basis of Windows 10X may be the wisest choice. Microsoft executives have hinted that they are excited about the upcoming Windows features. During or after the Build 2021 developer conference, there is likely to be more news about the Windows 10 Sun Valley update.
