Google disclosed a new way for the Android system to accompany users with Material You. The company first demonstrated this concept at the Google I/O conference in 2021. Although it looks very different from what Android 11 brings, it has “never made a compromise on accessibility” and users can choose the color that suits them best, and integrate the above colors into the entire device harmoniously.
When talking about the Material You design language, Google’s Matías Duarte said that it will fully integrate the user’s style into the color scheme and support various types of devices. Even Google’s hardware complements this design, which can be explained as we are likely to see more colors in the next generation of Google Pixel devices.
Material You will appear “first on Google Pixel this fall”. It will eventually enter all Google products, “from network applications to hardware.” This includes wearable devices, smart displays, IoT projects, smart home devices, and of course smartphones and tablets. This system “transcends light and darkness” and brings users a “mode of their own mood”.
