Gboard new design shows pill-shaped keys

During the I/O 2021 Developer Conference, Google has introduced the updated Material You design language. By introducing amazing design concepts, we are aware of many design changes and development guidelines, and most of them are not limited to the Android 12 mobile operating system. Under the unified guidance of Material You, Google can extend this design concept to other parts of its own-led ecosystem, such as applications.

Previously, some sources have introduced the newly introduced emojis in Android 12. While Material You has brought overhauls to the smartphone experience, developers also have greater customization and flexibility.

Earlier, XDA-Developers took the lead in discovering some subtle changes on devices running Android 11, such as those without contour lines? 123 and the Enter key, like the space bar, are now wrapped in a rounded rectangle.

If you have used the beta version of Android 12 Beta 1, you will know that Google has enabled this pill-like shape element in the Android global UI. However, judging from the simultaneous update of Gboard on Android 11, the relevant changes are obviously not exclusive to Android 12 or Pixel series smartphones.
