Apple developing a product that combines HomePod-Apple TV

According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple is developing a new device that combines HomePod and Apple TV. As previously reported, the tipster reiterated that the new device will be equipped with a built-in screen and camera for FaceTime calls.

The report pointed out that considering that Apple TV 4K released last month is a fairly minor update, the new ‌HomePod ‌device will represent a major advancement in the ‌Apple TV ‌ product line. Gurman has also revealed in the past that Apple is exploring future high-end ‌HomePod‌ speakers, which may include an iPad connected via a robotic arm that can track user behavior in the room.

Apple originally planned to release an updated HomePod model in 2022 as an iterative product of ‌HomePod‌ in 2017, but these plans were obviously shelved after the standard HomePod‌ was completely discontinued. The company now seems to focus on this new HomePod-Apple TV product.
