More Android TV and Chromecast devices will support Stadia cloud games at the end of the month

Google just brought good news for Stadia users that the service will soon usher incompatibility with more Android TV devices. Although it will not be officially launched until later this month, players will be able to experience Stadia cloud games smoothly on relatively new Chromecast and Google TV devices.

As early as September last year, we had taught Chromecast to support Google TV, but at that time it did not introduce compatibility with Google Stadia. However, on June 23rd, Google will make up for this oversight and provide extended Android TV support for Stadia players.

The following is a complete list of compatible devices:

  • Chromecast with Google TV
  • Hisense Android Smart TV (U7G / U8G / U9G)
  • NVIDIA Shield TV
  • NVIDIA Shield TV Pro
  • Onn Full HD Streaming Media TV Stick/Ultra HD Streaming Media Device ( product of Wal-Mart )
  • Philips 8215 / 8505, and OLED 935/805 series Android TV
  • Mi Box (3/4 generation)

Except for users who are lucky enough to purchase the above devices, other Android TV devices not on the list can still try to open experimental support for Google Stadia, but some problems may be encountered during the actual experience. Interested friends can go to the Play Store to get the Stadia application, and then click the “Continue” button on the opened opt-in interface.
