Windows 10 ushered in the June cumulative update

On this month’s Patch Tuesday event day, Microsoft released cumulative updates for multiple functional updates that are still in support. For Beta and Release Preview channel users, Microsoft has released the KB5003637 cumulative update for Windows 10 21H1 feature update. After installation, the version number has been increased to 19043.1052. The update now also applies to Windows 10 20H1 and 20H2 feature updates.

In this month’s Patch Tuesday event, Microsoft also released multiple cumulative updates, including version 1909 (KB5003635), version 1809 (KB5003646), version 1607 (KB5003638) and version 1507 (KB5003687). This month’s cumulative update mainly fixes 49 vulnerabilities, of which 6 are zero-day vulnerabilities, which means that they may have been exploited by hackers.

The main highlights of the KB5003635 cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1909 feature update include:

  • Improve security when performing basic operations on Windows
  • Improve the security of Windows OLE (Compound Document).
  • Used to verify the update of user name and password
  • Store and manage file updates
  • Updates to improve the security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
  • Fixed an issue that may prevent you from logging in to some Microsoft 365 desktop client applications after the update on May 11, 2021 or later and restarting the device
  • Fixed an inconsistent shutdown issue during Windows Update, which damaged the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) repository. Therefore, the Managed Object Format (MOF) advanced installer failed.
  • Security improvements to Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Management, Windows Cloud Infrastructure, Windows Authentication, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, Windows HTML Platform and Windows Storage and Filesystem.
