June 12 MSPoweruser reported that Microsoft recently announced that they are updating the PDF reader in the Android OneDrive app to provide 3 eye-friendly color options. OneDrive for Android has 3 new color modes for viewing PDFs-day, night and sepia-and users have more control over the appearance of the PDF and the blue light they see.
Here is how to turn on the new night reading mode:
- Open a PDF in OneDrive for Android, and click to expand the bottom page of the screen.
- Click Appearance.
- In the Appearance window, select the colored circles in the day, night, or sepia mode.
- View PDF night reading mode.
- View pictures in a new tab.

Microsoft will start rolling out the update in the Google Play App Store in early June, and is expected to complete the full push in early July.
