Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 appears on the FCC certification list

According to recent rumors, Samsung hopes to release its Galaxy Watch 4 series on August 11 before the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 on August 27. Now, both LTE and Wi-Fi versions of the upcoming Galaxy Watch appear in the FCC database, which reveals some key specifications. Via

Only the Wi-Fi version is SM-R880, while the LTE version is listed as SM-885U. Both wearable devices have dual-band Wi-Fi connections, NFC, GNSS positioning and Bluetooth connection. The file also shows the audio playback feature of the internal memory. Both models will support 5W wireless charging.

The software is expected to be led by the secondary-developed Google Wear operating system, using OneUI as the running interface instead of Samsung’s old Tizen operating system. Samsung may introduce its new watch operating system in detail during MWC 2021 on June 28. Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to offer two dial sizes of 42 mm and 46 mm, while Watch Active 4 should have a case of 40 and 42 mm.
