Google Messages app supports end-to-end encryption and earthquake warning overseas

At present, the messaging app on Google’s native Android system is called Messages. It not only supports the operator’s SMS sending and receiving abroad, but also supports RCS information sending and receiving via the Internet, and it can also be used with Wi-Fi. This feature requires both users to use this App, and users can use rich expressions and GIF animations, which are very similar to iMessage on Apple mobile phones.

Today Google announced that the Messages application officially supports the end-to-end encryption feature (EE2E) of RCS messages. After opening, you can see a small padlock icon at the send button, and there will be a prompt at the top of the chat interface, indicating that the conversation has been encrypted.

It should be noted that end-to-end encryption is only applicable to one-to-one conversations, and multi-group chats are not supported. In addition to this feature, Google has also launched a star feature for the Messages application, where users can bookmark messages. In addition, the emoticons of the chat interface have also been greatly enriched.

The new features have been landed in the official version of Messages, and users can update and experience them in the Google Play Store.
