Chrome for iOS supports enabling Face ID authentication on the private browsing mode

Google is testing a cool new feature for Chrome for iOS that allows users to unlock the incognito (incognito) browsing mode of the browser through Face ID. This means that users can temporarily switch to other tasks with peace of mind and be asked to confirm the user’s identity when returning to Chrome for iOS to avoid the disclosure of private browsing content.

Taking into account the characteristics of Face ID, the actual experience can be quite seamless. Interested friends can move to the Chrome://flags setting page of Chrome for iOS to enable the flag.

The method is to find the new setting item “Enable device authentication for incognito mode” at the bottom of the “Settings -> Privacy” page.

If you feel troublesome every time you switch back to the incognito mode of Chrome for iOS (for example, you need to wear a mask for a long time), you can also refer to the above methods to disable this feature.
