Windows 11 will upgrade the built-in Photos application

Like other operating systems, the Windows system has built-in multiple ways to view and edit photos and provides users with a high-quality experience through the Microsoft Photos application. In the upcoming Windows 11 system, Microsoft has once again upgraded the system’s built-in Photos application and improved its performance and user interface.

In Windows 11, the Microsoft Photos application is set as the default image viewer, allowing users to explore collections, photo albums, and folders. The collection function remains the same, it will display your most recent photos and screenshots, organized in appropriate order by date.

As shown in the image above, the Microsoft Photos app seems to be getting a floating menu with editing controls. We don’t know if there will be any new editing features, but you can expect the app to have all the features on Windows 10.

For example, this new floating menu will help you use the “+” and “-” buttons to zoom in and out, which can also be done with the mouse wheel. At the bottom of the window, there will be a new slider to help you navigate between different photos stored in a specific album, collection, or entire picture folder.
