First Insider Preview of Windows 11 with Build 22000.51 rolled out

Microsoft officially announced Windows 11 at a press conference last week, showing the world the next generation of Windows. The operating system has major design updates and brings performance improvements, touch-specific enhancements and more.

Unsurprisingly, the first to test the operating system will be the Windows Insiders group, and the first build of the Dev channel will be launched this week. As promised, the company has released Windows 11 build 22000.51 to the development channel.

It must be pointed out that the build will go to devices that join the development channel of the Insider Program before June 24. However, if you implement a workaround to circumvent this limitation, you can actually receive today’s build.

Since this is the first version of Windows 11, not all the features announced at last week’s event will be fully present here. One notable feature missing today is the ability to run Android applications on Windows 11. The company said that over time, it will eventually add these features to the build version.

However, this version includes a new settings application and a file explorer with a modern design that was discovered last week. These two functions were not shown during the press conference. Microsoft also published a detailed update list detailing all the new features added in Windows 11.

These include a new start menu design, overall UI improvements, such as a new action center, system sounds, new themes, etc. There are also multi-tasking improvements, such as the Snap window layout, multi-monitor improvements through the snapshot group, and so on. The company also released a new version of the Office suite application for Office Insiders.
