WhatsApp comes with a new view for voice messages in the app

WhatsApp comes with a new view for voice messages in the app. If you record or playback the messages, you will be able to deduce the volume on the basis of sound waves. The feature is still under development at the moment.

WhatsApp Voice Messages

WhatsApp is coming up with a new, nifty way in which it wants to make voice messaging work in its app, WABetaInfo knows. It first became known that during playback you can now see how loud the different parts of the message are on the basis of sound waves.

Now developers are continuing that line. The sound waves will also be visible while recording your speech message. At the bottom of the interface is also a button to stop the recording, so that you can listen to them first before sending. A second button lets you send the message right away. You can see it in action in the demo video below.

Availability

The sound waves were visible in the beta version of WhatsApp for a while, but then they were removed again. The developers first continue to work on the second improvement during recording, before the feature becomes available to users again. Later it will then be accessible to all users in the stable version, but when that will be the case is not yet known.
