Microsoft announced Windows 11 earlier this month, and interested Insider testers can receive the preview version through the developer channel. The Redmond-based software giant promised that they will officially launch a new version of the operating system this fall when eligible Windows 10 PCs will receive free upgrades.
In terms of time schedule, Windows 11 should still be in its early stages. However, recently, the developer Steve Troughton-Smith revealed the big news on Twitter. Steve Troughton-Smith pointed out that Microsoft provides Windows to Insider testers 11 preview version actually the RTM version of the operating system.
Although it sounds confusing, it is also because Microsoft is trying to take a different approach to Windows 11. Under normal circumstances, the Windows operating system will reach the RTM stage approximately one month before its public release.

In Windows 11, it actually refers to the core part of the operating system that has reached the RTM stage, and it can be regarded as having completed this part of the work with hardware partners. In the period before the official release, Microsoft will focus on further improving the user experience (UX) of Windows 11.
