Microsoft sued for Windows font infringement

According to the ruling, the plaintiff, Zhongyi Winning Bid, claimed that the defendants Microsoft China and Microsoft used the two sets of Zhongyi GB13000.1/GBK Song Ti and Hei Ti in the production and sales of Windows 98/2000/XP/2003 and other operating systems.

95TrueType’s behavior infringed on its computer software copyright to Zhongyi Font, so it requested the court to confirm and report that the above behavior constitutes an infringement of the computer software copyright of Zhongyi’s winning bidding company, and ordered the defendant to stop the production and sale of the above mentioned operating system. The Beijing Higher People’s Court arraigned the case according to law.
