This month’s update fixes multiple high-risk vulnerabilities in Windows 10

For all supported Windows 10 systems, Microsoft today released this month’s cumulative update. In addition to the three major feature updates of Windows 10 21H1, 20H2 and 20H1, today Microsoft also released cumulative updates for Windows 10 version 1507 (KB5004249), version 1607 (KB5004238), version 1809 (KB5004244) and version 1909 (KB5004245).

Starting this month, the following feature updates will no longer receive cumulative updates for Windows 10:

  • Windows 10, version 1511
  • Windows 10, version 1703
  • Windows 10, version 1709
  • Windows 10, version 1803
  • Windows 10, version 1903

The KB5004245 cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1909 feature update brings the following fixes:

  • Used to verify the update of the user name and password.
  • Updates to improve the security of Windows when performing basic operations.
  • Added advanced encryption standard (AES) encryption protection measures for CVE-2021-33757. For more information, please refer to KB5004605.
  • Windows Apps, Windows Management, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Authentication, Windows User Account Control (UAC), Operating System Security, Windows Virtualization, Windows Linux, the Windows Kernel, the Microsoft Scripting Engine, the Windows HTML Platforms, the Windows MSHTML Platform Windows Graphics.
