Huawei HMS Core 6.0 crosses 4 million registered developers worldwide

In early June, Huawei stated that the HMS ecosystem has become the world’s third-largest mobile application ecosystem. As of the end of May 2021, Huawei’s registered developers have exceeded 4 million, and the number of applications integrating HMS Core globally has reached 134,000.

Today, the official WeChat account of the Huawei Developers Alliance announced that Huawei HMS Core 6.0 has been launched globally today, bringing a number of new open capabilities to application developers and upgrading existing features and services.

At present, the HMS Core 6.0 APK built into the user’s device has been fully updated and upgraded. Developers can log in to the official website of the Huawei Developers Alliance to download various services.

According to reports, HMS Core 6.0 will further open up Huawei’s advanced technologies in media applications, graphics rendering, network acceleration, and other advantageous areas.

In the media field, a new multimedia pipeline service (AV Pipeline Kit) is added to help developers solve the difficulties of audio and video application development and high power consumption through audio and video development frameworks, video over-dividing, sound event detection and other plug-ins.

In the graphics field, 3D modeling capabilities (3D Modeling Kit) are opened to provide developers with AI-based object modeling and material production capabilities. Users only need an ordinary RGB camera to efficiently generate 3D models through mobile phones, allowing e-commerce and animation apps to have interesting interactions.

Currently, this capability supports the entire Android platform. In addition, HMS Core 6.0 also opens up multiple services including membership, video editing, and audio editing.

It is understood that HMS Core has opened more than 60 capabilities to developers, and provides five root engine services for map, search, payment, browsing, and advertising, which can help applications gain more users, higher activity, and more efficient business.

At the same time, developers can choose or call the Kit interface by themselves, integrate HMS Core capabilities, effectively reduce the amount of development, and improve operational efficiency; the development and access process is simple, and the SDK integration can be completed in an average of 1-3 days.
