Volkswagen plans to release a new operating system VW.OS 2.0 in 2024, and increase the proportion of models equipped with self-developed software systems to 60% by 2025. Toyota will open its operating system Arene OS and software development kits to third-party software developers through the open-source social media GitHub, allowing them to design-related applications and join its exclusive application ecosystem.
