The documentation included in the Intel graphics driver hints at a possible release date for Windows 11

According to a new support document from Intel, the Windows 11 public preview has been released for nearly a month, and it may enter our production (stable) channels in October 2021. It is expected that there will be a wider range of promotions in 2022. As for when in 2022, no one can say, but it is likely to be the first quarter.

Windows 11 was officially released on June 24, but the company has not yet revealed when the operating system will be open to users who are not part of the Windows Insider program. More and more hints indicate that Windows 11 will be launched in October 2021. Or at least the current plan is like this. According to Microsoft’s preview, Wal-Mart’s product list, and Intel’s new version description, Windows 11 is most likely to be launched in October, possibly in the third or fourth week of the month.

In the release notes of Intel DCH GPU driver 30.0.100.9684, Intel has clearly referred to Windows 11 as of October 2021 Update-21H2 Version. As you probably know, Windows builds are marked as YYMM, where YY represents the year in two-digit format and MM represents the month of expected release. On Twitter, Microsoft’s project manager Brandon LeBlanc confirmed that Windows 11 will continue to use the code naming convention yyH2 familiar to Windows 10 users.

The expected time for the official release of Windows 11 is in the fall. This new hint increases the possibility of release in October 2021.

The future of Windows 10 and Windows 11:

In October 2021, Microsoft also plans to release a version of Windows 10 21H2 that includes quality improvements. The Windows 10 21H2 version is based on the Windows version code-named Vibranium.

It mainly provides upgrades for the Windows 10 21H1 version (updated in May 2021) and the October 2020 update (20H2). On the other hand, the 21H2 version of Windows 11 is based on the Windows version internally code-named Cobalt.

Unlike Windows 10, Windows 11 will receive a feature update every year. Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 will receive new feature updates in the second half of each year. This means that there will be no new feature updates in the first half of the year (April or May). The big update is released.

The next major update of Windows 11 is codenamed 22H2 Edition and is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2022. This is also a conclusion based on supporting documents, which are no longer available on the company’s website.

In the next few years, Microsoft is likely to finalize Windows 11 feature updates in August or September, and then release them as planned in October or November. Insider personnel will receive these updates as usual.
