Recently, Google issued a reminder to Pixel 4 XL users that it would provide them with an extended maintenance plan for an additional year. Google officially stated that if you are eligible for this program, you may receive up to 1 year of free maintenance service after the warranty service expires.
Google said: For Pixel 4 XL purchased in the United States, Singapore, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, Google provides a one-year repair plan that applies to specific power-related issues. This plan only covers issues related to:
- The phone cannot be turned on.
- The phone will restart or shut down from time to time (non-manual operation).
- Use adapter to charge.
- Wireless charging.
- Compared with the initial period of use, the battery power consumption of the mobile phone is significantly faster.
Repair
Important Note: If your Pixel 4 XL has a damage problem (such as a broken screen) that prevents Google from repairing it, you need to fix the problem before exploring power issues. In some cases, you may need to pay to repair this type of damage.
To determine whether your Pixel 4 XL can be repaired, you can take the device to the nearest uBreakiFix store, or you can start the process online through Google’s repair center. If your mobile phone is not eligible for repair service through the 1-year extended repair plan, you may need to pay to repair the mobile phone.
Tip: Before you bring your phone to the repair site or send it for repair, please open the Settings application of your phone and back up your data to your Google account. To do this, click System > Backup > Backup.
